Cynthia M. Brogan

Chief Executive Officer
OsteoSymbionics LLC

Cynthia Brogan identified an entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative nature within herself at an early age, and those traits have been evident throughout her professional career. In 2006, she launched OsteoSymbionics after almost 10 years leading medical technology start-up companies across northeast Ohio. OsteoSymbionics is a Cleveland-based manufacturer of custom craniofacial implants serving surgeons at leading hospitals across the United States.

Previously, Ms. Brogan was Principal of Venture Successes LLC, an interim management and consulting firm she opened in 1997. Clients included dozens of existing and emerging tech companies, including ValveXchange, Inc., a producer of minimally invasive heart valves, and BF Goodrich. At various periods from 2000 to 2006, Ms. Brogan also provided leadership to MicroMedical Devices LLC, DIApedia LLC, and Osteoplastics Corporation.

In the late 1990’s, Ms. Brogan was Director of Business Formation for the Northern Ohio Edison Biotechnology Center (now BioOhio). She is also credited with raising $8 million from government and private sources for the creation of BioEnterprise, Cleveland’s award-winning bioscience business formation, recruitment and acceleration initiative.

Ms. Brogan had formerly partnered with Cleveland’s Case Western Reserve University to build and act as Business Director for a multi-institutional development and commercialization center. Focused on functional electrical stimulation (FES) products and services, the venture incubated three medical tech companies with 70 new jobs across the pay spectrum.

A graduate of Case Western Reserve University, Ms. Brogan holds a Masters of Business Administration in marketing from its Weatherhead School of Management. She began her professional career as a senior accountant for (now-defunct) Arthur Andersen & Company. Currently, she is a member of BioEnterprise, BioOhio, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS).
